This is one of my most loved pieces of artwork . The median I used was acrylic paint . I first researched what type of fruit i would like to do. I wanted a challenge so i chose dragon fruit . I chose 3 different pictures of the fruit and i started to scratch the picture until i perfected them. once that was done i traced them on tracing paper so we can transfer it to the canvas. I then placed them in places i thought suitable . i started to practiced how to blend the red and green together so it looked natural . when i felt confident i grabbed to needed paint started painting to fruit . I felt that the paint was too heavy of the fruit so i added a bit of water with the paint so it was almost like a watercolor painting . for the seeds I used the end of a brush to give each a different look . for the light pinkish-red, I used red and a bit of water and painted the whole fruit slice but before is would dry i took a paper towel a wipe off the paint and it created a light pinkish- red stain .After i finish all of that i chose a rusty rough wood background . I again manipulated the paint to blend the colors together with water. Finally I added highlights to the cracks and added any finishing touches.
First i choose a bottle i that i liked and a position that i wanted to be in , then placed tap where my feet were. after that I practiced drawing the bottle by measuring with a ruler . hen i finally liked one of bottle scratches I traced it on drawing paper. After that I when back to my place and lightly scratch the cloth in the background. I did it by angling my pencil and to see where to draw the lining of the cloth . Once that was done i started to shade the deep shadows of the fabric with different types of pencil led and a blending stomp. finally I started to places the highlights of the bottle to make it realistic .
I used a pencil median for my metal . First started with an outline of the lock . I even took a picture of the lock so I could see all the shadows and highlight . I made the lock and lock frame very geometric to give it a realistic feel . I carefully shaded and highlighted to give it a metal or shiny look . I used a blending stump to blend some of the edges and put everything together. Finally I fixed any highlights that looked flat .
I used a charcoal median to create this art piece. I first started with a large charcoal piece and shaded that whole thing and then used a tissue to lightly blend everything together , creating a grey background. After that I used a pencil outline and lightly shades places that I need to emphasize for later. Once I finished I went back a black charcoal piece and outline all the curtain . Then I shaded everything to create that curtain effect with highlight and deep contours . Finally I sprayed it with finishing spray.
